Environment and our people

Environmental protection is one of the pillars of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Our facilities cause almost no water or air pollution. We have effluent treatment plants (ETP) that ensure that water wastes are well treated. We have provisioned for rainwater harvesting in our units. Noise pollution is kept under control and decibel of sound remains well below the unsafe levels.

The effects to global warming are minimised by using CFL light fixtures to reduce consumption. We also ensure that our employees operate in a healthy work environment. Factory’s lay out plan is designed so that it offers clean and hygienic working ambience. Due care has been given to proper ventilation in the factories; adequate drainage and proper sanitary systems have been put in place. We follow a no smoking policy in public areas of our facilities, and special smoking zones are created for smokers.

Protection of children’s rights is taken very seriously and child labour is strictly prohibited in all of our units. We ensure that women workforce is well protected against any kind of gender related misconduct and everyone is given equal opportunities and benefits on the basis of his/her capability.

All local government laws (related to wages, factory layout etc.) are followed and precautions taken against emergencies, to prevent any kind of mishap due to fire etc. All preventive facilities exist e.g. water hydrants, fire alarms, fire escapes, fire detectors, fire extinguishers, water and sand buckets and some personnel are trained as fire fighters to take care of any emergencies that may arise.

Giving back

We strive to give back to the society and believe in creating maximum opportunities for people and contribute towards areas of collective social concern through environment and social welfare.

Hoc-Age also contributes regularly, both, to various Non Government Organisations (NGOs) and Non-profit. These include organisations that work with widows and handicap children in various countries. Financial aid is also provided on regular basis to people who require medical help. Some educational institutes are also funded by the Paliwal Exports Group.
